Carbon steels and alloy steels are ferrous alloys that contain carbon and other alloying elements such as manganese, chromium, molybdenum, and nickel.

Ferrous metals and alloys are based on iron and include carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, cast steel, maraging steel, and specialty or proprietary iron-based alloys. 

Bolts are threaded rods or pins that fasten objects together. They usually have a head at one end and a thread at the other. Bolts are secured by threaded nuts, and are available in both metric and non-metric designations.

Screws are fasteners that consist of a threaded shaft at one end and, typically, a head at the other. They are inserted into solid materials and secured via rotation.

Master alloys and alloying additives are alloy element concentrates, grain refiners, hardeners, deoxidants and other agents added into a melt or metal powder blend to produce a particular alloy, modify a melt or alter processing characteristics.

Semiconductors (metalloids) or semiconductor materials are used to fabricate microelectronic and optoelectronic devices such as transistors, photodetectors or solar cells.

Handwheels are manually-operated devices that revolve around an axis. They are used to adjust machinery and control access to compartments.

Captive screws are fasteners which remain attached to a panel or parent material, even after they are disengaged from the mating panel or part. They meld with the parent via cold forming, and then fuse with the panel or part into a single entity.

Metal rod and bar stock are metals and alloys in the form of round bars or rod, square bars, rectangular or flat bars, hexagons, and other bar stock shapes.

Mandrels or arbors are tool components that are used to grip or clamp the material being machined, or other moving tool components.

Shoulder screws are fasteners with an unthreaded shank. The unthreaded shank is long when compared to its threaded portion, which is located under the head. Shoulder screws can be used to attach one machine part to another, or as a plain bearing in places where rotary or sliding motion is required.
