Designer Alloys™ are materials specially made for a customer with a specific use, such as a custom chemistry for a new part, a controlled chemistry for a specific application, an obsolete alloy or out-of-date material from an old blueprint. This saves calling vendor after vendor and analyzing test reports to find the right chemistry, if it exists, All Metals can do it. (read more)
All Metals & Forge can now provide custom hand rolled bars in a variety of sizes and shapes from tool steels, nickel alloys, high temperature alloys, high speed steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, titanium, cobalt alloys, manganese steels, and super alloys. (read more)
Designer Alloys, Special Alloys, Have you ever required a particular material and your local service center supplier laughed and said, "Are you kidding?" Have you ever called the producing mill for a particular chemistry and they said, "Sure, I can melt that. I need a melt quantity of 50,000 lbs." Or how's this one "Oh, that's an obsolete grade. We can't melt that."... (read more)
All Metals & Forge can now provide custom hand rolled bars in a variety of sizes and shapes from tool steels, nickel alloys, high temperature alloys, high speed steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, titanium, cobalt alloys, manganese steels, and super alloys. (read more)
D6AC is a low alloy vacuum melted steel containing several other elements and with a carbon content of 0.42 to 0.48%. The hardenability of this alloy is better than that of AISI 4340 and D6AC can be heat treated to strengths ranging from 180 to 260 ksi. All Metals & Forge is an ISO-9001:2000/AS9100B/EN9100B Registered Supplier of D6AC and open die forgings and seamless rolled rings. (read more)
MA 20 (4330 Alloy) Drive Shaft Material available from All Metals & Forge, an ISO-9001:2000/AS9100B supplier and custom forging manufacturer. MA 20 is a high-strength alloy steel capable of 160KSI min. yield, 170KSI min. tensile, and CVN average of 62 ft. lbs at -40 F. (read more)
The Grob Rolling process increases the strength by rearranging the grain structure of the material over the entire tooth profile. The greatest amount of strength is gained near the bottom, or root area of the form where strength is most crucial. The result of the cold forming process produces a very high surface finish. Roughness average, Ra Readings of 4 micro inches have been produced. (read more)
